This is the story of how the South Cards Cup developed during the season. Some ties were played over two legs. Where this was the case, both results are included with the aggregate score in brackets. When this aggregate score was level a replay was held and the score of this replay is shown after the bracketed result.

To clarify, the Barracudas and Arabs were the names given to the University of Wales, Aberystwyth student teams of the time.
