Cardigan 1 v 2 Tregaron Turfs
Two second half goals helped Tregaron to a deserved win over Cardigan in the final of Cwpan Ceredigion.
The Cambrian Tyres League outfit started in a confident manner but failed to capitalise on the early chances that came their way. Gradually Cardigan found their rhythm and having shaded the latter stages of the first half grabbed an interval lead when Ben Davies capitalised on a good through ball to score from close range.
Tregaron did most of the running in the second half and deservedly grabbed the equaliser when Gethin Jones slotted home from the penalty spot following a clear infringement inside the box.

As thoughts started to turn towards the prospect of extra time the Turfs turned a period of pressure into the winning goal when Jordan Jones culminated an incisive run from midfield to net a low effort past the helpless Steve Smith some ten minutes from the end.
