Cardigan’s title hopes took a major blow this week as they succumbed 1-0 to Crannog. This leaves them three points behind having played a game more than main rivals St. Dogmaels.

St Dogmaels themselves suffered a first round Bay Cup exit at the hands of Aberaeron. They were playing their second game in a week which went to extra time and have therefore played four hours of football in six days. A sign of things to come for the next few weeks it seems. Other victors in the Bay Cup were Dewi Stars, Lampeter who put eighteen past Boncath and Llanybydder who handed Maesaglas their second penalty shoot-out loss of the week.

In the second division, Crannog’s relegation seems a step closer as they lost by four goals to nil against Cardigan Reserves.
